 
LUCID8'S GOEXCHANGE AWARDED COMPATIBILITY CERTIFICATION WITH SYMANTEC ENTERPRISE VAULT THROUGH SYMANTEC TECHNOLOGY ENABLED PROGRAM
Jackson Walker L.L.P achieves database health, optimization and protection goals with combination of Lucid8 and Symantec products

Lucid8 LLC, the company that optimizes space, efficiency and reliability for Microsoft Exchange Server databases, today announced that GOexchange achieved compatibility with Symantec Enterprise Vault through its participation in the Symantec Technology Enabled Program (STEP). Together, these products provide organizations with advanced email active-archiving along with full and robust Exchange Server disaster prevention and optimization for an unlimited number of email boxes, storage groups and databases. Lucid8 and Symantec’s customer Jackson Walker L.L.P, one of the largest law firms in Texas, was among the first to reap the benefits of the joint solution.

“While Enterprise Vault had extracted over 200 gigabytes of data from the Exchange Server, the databases were not getting any smaller and the number of errors and warnings were growing along with the time-to-backup,” said Steve McHargue, chief information officer, Jackson Walker.
McHargue learned that Lucid8’s GOexchange, along with Symantec Enterprise Vault, could take archiving to the next level—automatically—reclaiming the space freed-up by the archive and also rebuilding indexes and removing hidden errors and inconsistencies to increase the health and optimization of the Exchange system. Jackson Walker implemented GOexchange to work in conjunction with Enterprise Vault, and was able to automate their preventative maintenance for its Microsoft Exchange Server, running monthly maintenance on all of the databases without manual intervention. Working together, GOexchange and Enterprise Vault generated immediate results, providing Jackson Walker with a complete email maintenance system that increased server performance and stability—and also reduced the Exchange database size by 40 percent to save disk space and drastically decrease the time required for backup and recovery operations.
“Prior to using GOexchange, our Exchange Server had grown less and less stable. We installed GOexchange because we knew we had issues in the database. What amazed us was the number of errors and warnings that existed in the database were far more than what we expected. GOexchange, working with Enterprise Vault, solved these problems and our database have run flawlessly ever since,” McHargue stated.
