How long will it take to for GOexchange® to complete the maintenance process?

This really depends on many different factors;
  • The last time maintenance was run. For Example; if this is the first time you are running GOexchange the system most likely has many issues and therefore the process will take longer then a normally maintained database.
  • The speed and number of processors in the server
  • The amount of memory in the server ( the more the better)
  • The number of errors the Exchange Server contains
  • The amount of disk space that is available for reclamation from the Exchange Server.
  • The size of the system stores
  • Your GEWORK directory location:
    • If you have sufficient space on the local Exchange Server then the maintenance process will take approximately 1 hour per 4Gb.
    • If you don't have sufficient space on the local Exchange Server and have told GOexchange to utilize network storage, then the maintenance process of the Exchange system will take approximately 2 hour per 4Gb.
