Minimum Backup Server system requirements to install the GOexchange® Backup Integration Agent The backup component of GOexchange 3.x allows operators to integrate supported third-party backup software into a specification.:
All previous versions of GOexchange® 2.x or earlier must be removed before attempting to install any of the GOexchange® 3.x components.
Microsoft® Windows® Server NT4 with SP6a, OR
Microsoft® Windows® Server 2000 with SP3 or greater, OR
Microsoft® Windows® Server 2003
Your backup server must be running a supported backup solution.
NOTE: If you have purchased Lucid8's DigiVault with Continuous Data Protection, it is not necessary to install the Backup Integration Agents onto a 3rd party backup server.
NOTE: Adjust your normally scheduled Backup jobs to ensure that they do not attempt to backup the Exchange server during GOexchange maintenance. If a normally scheduled backup job attempts to access the Exchange Server during maintenance, the backup job and the GOexchange maintenance job will fail.
