INSTALLATION: Before installing DigiScope, ensure that the user account you used to log on has local administrator rights.
OPERATION: Connecting to Production Exchange Server with DigiScope requires an authenticated user that has been granted the role of Exchange Administrator or Exchange Full Administrator. For the best results consider the following when working with a production Exchange server.
Do not have Outlook open during DigiScope operation.
NOTE: Microsoft does not completely support concurrent user MAPI sessions between Outlook and similar products running on the same machine with the same logon credentials. It is therefore recommended that users not attempt to run DigiScope and Outlook on the same machine at the same time.
The symptoms of running both products at the same time under the same user account may manifest repeated requests for security credential via a Windows dialog, or inability to access one or more mailboxes from each product.
If you must run both products simultaneously we suggest you use the "RunAs" command to run one of the programs under a different user account.
You must have sufficient rights to use DigiScope on the target server and domain to perform restores successfully.
Sufficient rights is defined as full Exchange administrative rights for the target server.
If you attempt to restore to a server with insufficient rights the Microsoft MAPI provider may re-prompt you for correct credentials until you provide credentials that have full Exchange Administrator rights for the target server.
If the operator has rights for a single mailbox the desired actions will work for that one mailbox, however when attempting to access a target mailbox where the operator does not have rights then the action will prompt for the credentials of an authorized operator.
